Event preparation 2025

Tasks

Reserve Working Lab → Ellen will be fixing our booking in the Working Lab calendar
Ask Holger if he can support for the 3D-scan / print @Juliana Lüer → YES!
Send updates to the Girls' days organizers (18 girls max, 12-16 yo, Time: 10:45-14:00 (195 minutes)) @Juliana Lüer
Find other persons to help
Mona? → request running (Finn and Mona)
Jana? → request running
Ali? → pending, waiting for responses of Mona and Finn
Computers:
3 for programming → we will get them from AMH
3 for CAD → we will get them from AMH
Check for Inventor’s licenses
Install softwares on computers
Check if we need more components (see Girls' day 2025 - 03.04.2025 | Components list )
3/2 arduino Uno R4 Wifi in the box (do we need more? (For now the plan is 1 for the Electrical team and 1 for the programming team)
3 cables for arduino (USB A - C)
6/6 motors G150
3/2 PCB board (one already has some components soldered → should we unsolder them? Do we need to change it to split it in different groups?)
6/6 infrared sensors
2/2 pairs of wheels
3/3 batteries → check that they are charged
Cables → a bit in the WorkingLab → take some more in E Workshop
LEDs, Transistors, Resistors
3/3 Base plate laser cut
1N4148 Diodes
Black tape for the line on the ground → enough available in WorkingLab @Mona Oldenburg
Jumper wires
Prepare goodies (names laser cut)
Update instruction documents (exchange robot picture on Elektronik, include Mona, include Names on Elektronik, include infrarot-description and line following, include CAD in German, include new date + year,
test print 2 pages on 1 and check size
change Menti background picture
Print the documents Mar 27, 2025
Think about an ice breaker? @Juliana Lüer
Test the setup @Ornella Tortorici

Biegehilfe aus Ligeti mitnehmen @Juliana Lüer

Timing

  • 10:30: girls are brought to us

  • 10:45: Institute / Individual presentations

  • Ice breaker: sort in the room: when did you get up this morning? Starting letter of name? Where do you live? Age? Size? ,…

  • Separate in 3 groups

  • In parallel: visit of the laser cut / 3D printers pool

  • Combine everything together / test the robot

Groups

CAD

  • Up to 6 girls

  • 2 per computer → 3 computers

  • Each group of 2 works on one part

Electronics

  • Up to 6 girls

  • Split the PCB in 2 parts → 3 half H-bridges

Programming

  • Up to 6 girls

  • How to spread the work in the group:

    • 1 group on functions forward and stop

    • 1 group on functions turn left and right

    • 1 group on LED

Tasks descriptions

CAD

Updated 26.03.25

I’d say that all members of the group should design the first part, and then we distribute the design of the other parts to each member of the group. And they should all prepare a part to print or to laser cut and work on the assembly.
